Health problems for which our patients often come to us include:

  • Fever: Often, fevers will go away on their own. However, there are times in which you will want to seek medical attention. If your temperature is 103 F (39.4 C), has lasted for more than seven days, or is increasing at a worrisome pace, you should seek medical attention immediately. Our Boerne Urgent Care staff can help.
  • Weakness, Dizziness, Vertigo, & Confusion: Feeling tired after a stressful day is normal. However, sometimes weakness, especially when it is accompanied by dizziness and an altered state of consciousness, can be an indicator of something more serious, such as a stroke. If you are experiencing extreme fatigue, as well as any of the other aforementioned symptoms, the physicians at our Boerne Urgent Care can help.
  • Headaches: Sometimes, a headache isn’t just a headache. The vast majority of headaches are not serious and do not require medical treatment. However, chronic migraines can be an indicator of something more serious. Headaches that result from brain infections or bleeding can lead to disabilities and even early death. If you are experiencing chronic, debilitating headaches, seek treatment from our Boerne Urgent Care immediately.
  • Seizure: A seizure is caused by abnormal electrical activity in the brain. In its most severe manifestation, a seizure can cause unconsciousness and bodily convulsions, all of which can be extremely dangerous. Some signs that you are experiencing a seizure include sudden feelings of fear or anxiety, nausea, dizziness, changes in your vision, jerking bodily movements in the arms and legs, feeling like you are “out of your body”, and headache. If you are experiencing these symptoms, our Boerne Urgent Care staff will provide immediate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Dyspnea: Difficult or labored breathing is known medically as dyspnea. This is normal after a strenuous workout, you should seek medical help if it has become a chronic problem. Dyspnea comes with the feeling of not getting enough air into your lungs with each breath, and in some more severe cases, you may have an experience of suffocation. Dyspnea can also result in a tightness of the chest. If you are experiencing an unexpected shortness of breath, the medical staff at our Boerne Urgent Care can help.
  • Chest Pain: This can be an indicator of a serious medical condition. If you are experiencing chest pain that is heavy, pressing, tight, last longer than 15 minutes, or spreads to other areas of your body, seek medical attention immediately. This can be a sign of a heart attack or some other heart-related problem.
  • Fainting: This can occur due to stress or low blood sugar, but sometimes it can be a sign of something more serious. While fainting isn’t always a medical emergency, it should always be treated as such. If you have fainted unexpectedly, or are experiencing fainting episodes, our staff can provide diagnosis and treatment.
  • Nausea, Vomiting, & Diarrhea: These are common symptoms of the flu or other non-fatal illnesses, and will most often go away on their own. However, these can also indicate more serious medical conditions such as food poisoning or bacterial infections. If these symptoms are serious and left untreated, they can lead to severe dehydration and even death. If you are experiencing severe nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, seek medical treatment from our Boerne Urgent Care immediately.
  • Abdominal Pain: There is a wide range of possible causes for abdominal pain, including ulcers, pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, and liver inflammation. Severe abdominal pain can indicate a very serious condition which requires medical treatment.
  • Lacerations: If you have sustained a laceration that is deep enough, medical treatment is necessary. Problems with lacerations include excessive bleeding and the possibility for infection. We will provide the proper medical services to help you recover from a deep laceration.
  • Jaundice: This is a yellowing of the skin and eyes due to an excessive amount of bilirubin in the blood resulting from conditions such as an inflamed liver or obstructed bile duct. We can provide a range of tests to indicate the cause and determine treatment.
  • Pelvic Pain: There are a wide range of possible causes when it comes to pelvic pain, including inflammation or infection of the appendix. Pelvic pain may also come with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, or constipation. Our staff can provide diagnosis and treatment.
  • Testicular Pain: Whether it is due to an external impact, or an internal cause, our staff can provide professional treatment for testicular pain.
  • Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding: Women may experience abnormal vaginal bleeding due to problems with pregnancy, Polycystic ovary syndrome, certain medication, or infection. If you are experiencing vaginal bleeding that is not due to your normal cycle, we can help.
  • Sore Throat: When it comes to major problems like strep throat, which includes painful inflammation of the throat tissue caused by the Streptococcus bacteria, as well as fever, chills, headaches, and other problems, medical attention may be required.
  • Pediatric Care: Children are more vulnerable to certain illnesses than adults. The professional staff at our Boerne Urgent Care is always ready to help your young ones with any condition they may have.
