Born and raised in Dallas, Dr. Sloan was the Salutatorian of his senior class at W.T. White High School. After earning his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, he attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he received his medical degree.
He performed his residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Once his residency was complete, Dr. Sloan continued at UT Southwestern, serving as an Assistant Professor to incoming residents.
